Working with Kiko on my wedding gown was wonderful!
I was searching constantly and having no luck finding a dress that I both liked and could afford. When I tried things on, even if I liked the style, I was often unimpressed with the quality of the fabric and stitching. Then there was trying to imagine what it would really look like after being altered, and I was just never sure I was going to love the finished product.
As soon as I started working with Kiko, the stress of the dress hunt was gone! I wanted a dress that was both elegant and simple, and one I would be comfortable moving around in. Kiko made me a custom dress that fit me perfectly--size, shape, personality, and budget.
Kiko is a master of both design and craftsmanship. I sent him some photos of dresses I liked, along with a description of how I imagined combining elements I'd seen to create the perfect dress for me. At our first meeting, applying his artistry and expertise to my vision, he drew a sketch and brought my idea to life right before my eyes! We then met regularly as he started creating the dress from the inside out, making sure that every piece fit perfectly. Kiko is extremely organized and the dress was ready in plenty of time before the wedding. The quality is superb.
I didn't spend half my wedding budget on my dress, and yet I felt like a million bucks. My dress was so comfortable, I danced all night long! But if you want a super complicated design, he can do that too. If having a dress made for you has ever crossed your mind, you will not regret meeting with Kiko for a consultation. I just assumed that I would not be able to afford couture; but Kiko's prices are very competitive. And you get exactly what you want! Priceless!

Kiko is extremely skilled at his craft. I had crazy ideas for my dress, and we talked through it and I ended up with my ideal wedding dress, using lace from my mother's veil. I danced all night in it too. The process was easy and fun, and Kiko was a delight to work with. It was great too because he would come to my house for fittings! And the final fitting, the dress 'reveal' I had all my bridesmaids over and we had champagne and everything. Awesome afternoon!

"As I started out looking for my wedding dress, I couldn't stand how every dress in every bridal shop looked exactly the same. I didn't want to be spending thousands of dollars on something that was just OK and would be at the next wedding I went to. So I was online and saw the great reviews for Kiko and said, yes, this is perfect! Of all the things I decided on for my wedding, the one choice that was hands down the best was getting my dress made by him. It was absolutely stunning, so unique, and I got comments from literally everyone.
Kiko took my ideas from magazines and my likes dislikes and sketched something which took my vision and made it more than I could have imagined. He pushed me to use a beaded lace which I was hesitant on and that part of the dress pulled everything together (not to mention added a great wow factor). He is able to make any dress in any budget and at a quality of dressmaking that is top notch.
He was flexible with my schedule for appointments and was available by email phone in person when needed. When I asked last minute to do a bussel on my a-symmetrical train, he added it without any issue, even though it was a last minute request. He helped with earring ideas, hair makeup etc so my look could really come together.
Overall, I would encourage anyone who wants an absolutely beautiful and unique dress in the same budget you were thinking of for a bridal store gown to go to Kiko and get something miles above your expectations. Don't be hesitant to go talk to him, you will be glad you did! You will shine on your day and you will get something so special for you to remember forever....

There was absolutely no way the wedding dress I envisioned could have been made without Kiko. I had a year and a half to find my perfect wedding dress and I started looking from the beginning. I spent months walking in (and quickly out) of all the bridal shops in the Seattle area and I even shopped in Miami when visiting my sister! I wanted my dress to be more red carpet than bridal and I was looking for something unique and stylish and "me". I started to reach the point of panic because I couldn't find anything even close to what I imagined. So, one day I did a quick sketch of the dress I wanted and searched online for "custom wedding dresses". I visited two other shops before finding Kiko. One shop requested I find the fabric myself (what??!) and another wanted me to pay the price of a good used car to piece together something from other dresses they already had. Finally, I met with Kiko and I knew he understood what I wanted. The key elements to my dress design involved a difficult dye process and delicate sheer draping around my arms instead of sleeves. He confidently told me he could make it happen. He tweaked my drawing and made suggestions which made the dress more flattering for my body and structurally realistic. Kiko assured me that I would be involved in every step of the process and he wasn't kidding! We chose the fabric together, did fittings with each layer, and he even consulted me for shoes, hair, makeup, proper undergarments, and custom jewelry. When you work with him you're not just getting a dress, you will come out with a complete look. Kiko takes into consideration the entire vision and feel of the type of wedding you're having. One of my favorite quotes was, "You're getting married at Columbia Tower. You have to have a train!" He talked to the groom as well and gave him valuable guidance on the color and look of his suit, tie, and shoes.
When the day of the wedding finally arrived, I was so excited to wear the dress of my dreams which had been perfectly executed by Kiko. I think everyone in attendance was blown away by it's beauty and creativity. Kiko is a wonderful designer to work with from start to finished product. Working with him was an experience that was truly special. He is humourous and focused and patient and, most importantly, he listens! He found the perfect fabrics and accessories for the vision. I had dresses made for my sister and niece as well. They looked beautiful and my niece tried very hard not to grow out of her first "swirly dress".
We 're still trying to find a way for her to wear it to her first prom...although by that time it may be too short and a little tight in the bust (she was 4 at the time of design)! The experience is one in a million. I would not hesitate to recommend Kiko to anyone who wants a lovely gown or dress for a special occasion. His creations are something that can be passed down to the next generation in the family - ageless....

I needed a dress for the wedding of one of my twin daughters this past August. I looked and looked in magazines for months and got tired of the typical "mother of the bride shinny taffeta dress and bolero combo." No way! I was looking for something different: I wanted a sexy, classy, unique, beautiful, and elegant creation, and Kiko made that possible: EVERYBODY commented on my dress at the wedding. It was really stunning.
Working with Kiko was wonderful. I had some ideas of what I wanted and he suggested others. He made several sketches of dresses on paper for me, we went back and forth, and finally he came up with a beautiful creation. Kiko listens and interprets what you want, he even gives suggestions for hair, make up and shoes that would match the dress. He has good taste, sense of fashion and style, and is really easy going. It was a pleasure working with him.
My other daughter is getting married next year, and guess what, I will go back to Kiko for another beautiful, elegant and sexy mother of the bride dress! I am sure it will be
